Operation Steps Of Micro-ohmmeter

May 04, 2020 Leave a message

The micro-ohmmeter is mainly used to measure various small resistances, such as: DC winding resistance of various motors and transformers, cable resistance and contact resistance of switches and socket contacts.

1. Turn on the main power switch, the power indicator light will be on.

2. Select the test gear, usually 50 milliohms for the contact impedance test.

3. Short-circuit the two test leads to see if the pointer returns to zero. If the pointer points to zero at this time, the following test can be performed. If the pointer does not point to zero at this time, you need to adjust the zero return knob until the pointer returns to zero.

4. Put the two test leads in close contact between the two terminals of the product to be tested, and read the data from the dial after the pointer is stable (the number of left and right swings does not exceed 2), and record the results in detail.

5. If the test purpose does not require specific values, but only need to judge whether it meets the product specifications, you can select the "test / setting" switch as the setting file before the test, and adjust the "setting adjustment" knob to the product specification value (For example, 20 milliohms), perform the test according to step 4. At this time, if the product is qualified, the micro-ohm meter "light" light will be on, otherwise the "failure" light will be on.

6. After the test is completed, the product must be removed and the main power supply of the micro-ohm meter should be turned off.
